The whiteness meter is mainly used to measure the whiteness of various objects such as paper and cardboard, pulp and chemical fiber pulp, cotton and chemical fiber, textiles, plastics, ceramics, pond porcelain, starch, salt, white cement, porcelain soil, talcum powder and others. It can also be used to measure optical properties such as the opaqueity of thin pages materials.
Precautions for the use of benchtop whiteness meter:
1. Standard whiteboard and reference standard whiteboard for whiteness meter are used for calibration and standard when it is working. Please keep the surface clean, especially the work standard whiteboard, it cannot be exposed to the dust to avoid artificially influence its standard value. Usually in daily work, please use the reference standard whiteboard to calibrate the instrument. The quantity of the reference standard whiteboard is passed by random working standard whiteboard standard values. Pay attention to the orientation of the whiteboard during work, and note that the marking surface should face the operator.
2. Keep the optical parts of the instrument clean, and do not wipe it with your hands. For example, if the optical parts have dust, Use ear washing ball to blow the surface dust or wipe it with a mirror paper. If the optical parts have oil traces, mold points, etc., use skim cotton balls to dip the water-free alcohol to wipe the surface of the parts.
3. Before work, use a clean lint-free cotton cloth to wipe the sample holder and measuring port of portable whiteness meter clean, so as not to contaminate the working whiteboard and test samples.
4. The surface of the tested sample must be even and flat, and the consistency of the vertical and horizontal directions of the tested sample should be maintained when the test is repeated.
