1. Environment
The inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer is better to be placed in an independent room, leaving a space of more than 0.4 meters around the instrument for easy inspection and maintenance. The indoor temperature is kept at 20-25°C, and the temperature difference does not exceed ±2°C within a working day. The humidity range is 8-80 (%RH), and it requires no air flow, no corrosive gases, no dust and low humidity.
2. Exhaust
The gas produced by the ICP instrument may be poisonous or corrosive, so the exhaust system must be opened before ignition, so that the generated smoke and gas can be discharged from the ventilation pipe above the ICP.
3. Water cooler
The water cooling system requires frequent inspection and maintenance. The water level should be kept at a normal level, and deionized water should be added if necessary.
4. Atomization chamber
The atomization chamber of plasma optical emission spectrometer must be cleaned every month. Rinse it in an ultrasonic container with surfactant, and then reinstall it.
5. Atomizer
Flush it frequently with clean flushing fluid during operation to prevent deposits. If the air flow becomes smaller, the air pressure needs to be increased. The sample and gas inlet tubes must fit properly and be free of leaks.
6. Induction coil
The deformation of induction coil will cause the energy delivered to the plasma by the high frequency generator to be unstable, and may melt the torch. If the induction coil is deformed, replace it.
7. Cold cone
There may be deposits and it must be cleaned frequently.
8. Torch
To remove salt deposits, rinse the torch with clean water and air dry it.
9. Sampling and draining tubes
With special elasticity, the tube will be deformed or softened after long-term use and needs to be replaced.
10. Air filter
The filter is located on the top of the ICP instrument, which filters the inhaled cooling air, and it must be cleaned frequently.
11. Water cooling filter
It must be cleaned every six months.
