The spectrophotometer is a precision optical instrument, which has been carefully assembled and adjusted before leaving the factory. If it can be properly maintained, it will not only ensure the reliability and stability of the instrument, but also prolong the service life.
Routine maintenance of laboratory spectrophotometer:
1. The instrument should be placed in a dry room. When in use, it should be placed on a firm and stable workbench. The indoor lighting should not be too strong. In hot weather, do not use an electric fan to blow directly on the instrument to prevent the filament of the bulb from shining unstable.
2. After each use, check whether there is overflowing solution in the sample chamber, and wipe it frequently to prevent the waste liquid from corroding components or optical components. The cuvette containing the test solution should not be left in the sample chamber for a long time.
3. Try to protect the optical window (light-transmitting surface) of the cuvette. To prevent the optical window from being polluted, it should be cleaned in time after use, and the remaining samples or washing liquid should not be adsorbed on the optical window, and be careful not to scratch it, so as to maintain its good matching.
4. After use, cover the instrument with dust cover. A desiccant bag can be placed in the sample room to prevent moisture, but it should be taken out when starting up.
5. During daily use and storage of LCD monitors and keyboards, be careful to avoid scratches, water, dust and corrosion.
6. Regularly carry out measurement performance testing, and contact the after-sales service in time if any problem is found. Non-professional maintenance personnel are not allowed to open the casing for repairs without authorization.
7. When the instrument is not used for a long time, pay special attention to the temperature and humidity of the environment. It is better to place a desiccant bag in the sample room and replace it regularly.
Chemistry spectrophotometer has become a routine instrument in modern molecular biology laboratory, mainly composed of light source, monochromator, sample chamber, detector, signal processor and display and storage system.
