1. Temperature and humidity are important factors affecting the performance of the photometer. They can cause corrosion of mechanical parts, reduce the smoothness of the metal mirror, cause errors or performance degradation of the mechanical part of the instrument; cause corrosion of the aluminum film of optical parts such as gratings, reflectors, focusing mirrors, etc., produce insufficient light energy, stray light, noise, etc., and even stop the instrument from working, thus affecting the service life of the instrument. It should be calibrated regularly during maintenance. The instrument room should be equipped with constant humidity in all seasons and constant temperature equipment.

2. Dust and corrosive gases in the environment will also affect the flexibility of the mechanical system, reduce the reliability of various limit switches, buttons, and photoelectric couplers, and are also one of the reasons for the corrosion of the aluminum film of necessary parts. Therefore, it is necessary to clean regularly to ensure the sanitary conditions of the environment and instrument room, and prevent dust.

3. After the UV spectrophotometer has been used for a certain period of time, a certain amount of dust will accumulate inside. It should regularly open the instrument cover by the maintenance engineer or under the guidance of the engineer to remove the dust inside. At the same time, the radiator of each heating element should be retightened, the sealing window of the optical box should be cleaned, the optical path should be calibrated when necessary, the mechanical part should be cleaned and lubricated as necessary, and finally, it should be restored to its original state, and some necessary inspections, adjustments and records should be carried out.
